Exploring the history of Constanta As part of the project "BlueLightS - EnLIGHTening Future Schools to Deliver BLUE Sustainability in Europe", funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Program, students of the 5th grade C, under the coordination of prof. Marcoșanu Iuliana and prof. Apostu Corina, embarked on a captivating expedition into the historical heart of the city of Constanta, as part of the educational project carried out at the school level. The aim of the activity was to familiarize students with the rich cultural and architectural heritage of the city, offering them the opportunity to discover history in an interactive and attractive way. During the activity: 🔹 students explored important historical sites in Constanta; 🔹 conducted additional research on the historical and cultural significance of each monument; 🔹 learned to observe, analyze and capitalize on the information discovered. The information collected was capitalized by creating a detailed and informative tourist guide, demonstrating the creativity and involvement of the students. The activity contributed to the development of team spirit, documentation skills and the strengthening of respect for local heritage. A new activity from the project "BlueLightS - EnLIGHTening Future Schools to Deliver BLUE Sustainability in Europe", funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Program, took place on the beach in Mamaia. The students of the 6th grade A from the Secondary School No. 37, Constanța, coordinated by the headmistress, Prof. Georgescu Violeta, stepped into a real land full of mystery, where the sea became a teacher, and nature – an open textbook. It all started with the "Legend of the 4 Guardians of the Black Sea", a story that taught them that the sea reveals its secrets only to those who know how to look with their heart. The students took an OATH on the beach, promising respect and care for nature. Then, divided into 4 teams, they set off on a treasure hunt… differently. They did not look for gold, but fragments of a marine soul. They explored the shore in search of the most unique shells and natural textures, each discovery being a small triumph. They collected time-polished shells, bizarrely shaped stones and pieces of wood brought by the waves, each carrying a story written by salt and wind. At the same time, they had an important mission: to identify and collect 5 pieces of waste before validating their natural “treasures”. With the help of a worksheet, they learned to recognize species such as rapana, mussel, sand shell, striped shell or white shell. The challenges did not stop there: they looked for a lucky stone, a piece of glass polished by the waves and 3 objects that do NOT belong to the Black Sea, which they collected responsibly. The sea taught them perhaps the most precious thing: the art of giving and letting everything flow. Sometimes the most valuable treasures are not the ones you take home, but the ones you keep in your heart. 💙 At the end, all students were rewarded with "COASTAL EXPLORER" DIPLOMAS. 🏅 #SeaSecrets #BlueLightS #Scoala37 #NatureLover #SeaTreasures #LegendaPazitorilor

Discovering our city through the eyes of children As part of the project "BlueLightS – EnLIGHTening Future Schools to Deliver BLUE Sustainability in Europe", students of grade 3 B, from Primary and Secondary School No.37 Constanta, coordinated by primary school teacher Camelia Nicola, carried out the activity "Promoting tourist attractions". The starting point of the imaginary journey was the School No. 37 Constanta, from where the little explorers set off to discover representative places in the city. Among the presented attractions were: 🐬 The Dolphinarium – a beloved place, which brings the beauty of marine life closer; 🏛️ The old city center, with the Statue of Ovid, full of history and culture; 🌊 The seafront and the emblematic Casino of Constanta, symbol of the city and its connection with the sea. Heroes of the blue waters – together for a sustainable future As part of the project “BlueLightS – EnLIGHTening Future Schools to Deliver BLUE Sustainability in Europe”, funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Programme, students from Primary and Secondary School No. 37 Constanța participated in a series of special educational activities, aimed at developing their responsibility towards the environment. No less than four classes – 2nd A, 3rd D, 4th A and 4th C – coordinated by dedicated teachers, became true explorers of nature for a day, discovering the beauty and importance of protecting the aquatic environment. The visit to the Dolphinarium in Constanța was a moment full of delight and learning: the children admired dolphins and seals, watched spectacular demonstrations and learned interesting information about marine life, the behavior of these animals and the need to protect species in aquatic ecosystems. At the Microreserve, students had the opportunity to observe various species of animals, better understand biodiversity and discover how important the balance between nature and people is. On the shore of the Black Sea, the little explorers embarked on a fascinating adventure: they analyzed biodiversity directly on the beach, discovered that each shell tells a story and discussed the effects of water pollution. Through dialogue and observation, they identified simple gestures through which each of us can contribute to protecting the environment and keeping the coastline clean. Through play, exploration and discovery, the students learned that each of us can become a true hero of the blue waters, responsible for the future of the planet. As part of the BlueLightS project – “EnLIGHTening Future Schools to Deliver BLUE Sustainability in Europe”, funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Programme, students of grades 6 C and 6 D from Secondary School no. 37 Constanța, Romania participated in an educational and artistic activity dedicated to the marine environment. Coordinated by prof. Iordache Nicoleta-Simona and prof. Carmen Stan, the students discovered the beauty and fragility of the Black Sea by identifying different types of shells found on the shore. 🐚 🎨 The “Stain and Color” activity challenged the students to translate their vision of the theme “The Black Sea – a source of inspiration” into drawings, capitalizing on direct observations and artistic creativity. 🖼️ The works produced were brought together in a mini-exhibition organized in the classroom, transforming the educational space into a veritable art gallery. Within the BlueLightS project – “EnLIGHTening Future Schools to Deliver BLUE Sustainability in Europe”, funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Program, students of the 2nd grade D, coordinated by teacherfor primary class Liliana Iancu, continue to discover the world through authentic and valuable experiences. 🌊 In April, on the occasion of Bird Day, the little explorers carried out an exciting research activity on the biodiversity of the Black Sea, within the SHORE – BlueLightS project. 🔍 The activity began with the observation of the cliff arranged to prevent landslides, but also of plants specific to dry areas, such as sand whirl, scum and acacia. 🕊️ The students identified a small colony of seagulls and watched the sea otters fishing near the pier. Curiosity led them further to the discovery of marine life forms: sea crabs and green algae. 🐚 The stars of the research were mollusks – mussels, clams, Rapana snails and the beaded snail. 🌊✨ The project "BlueLightS - EnLIGHTening Future Schools to Deliver BLUE Sustainability in Europe" funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Program, brings valuable educational experiences to our school! 👨‍🏫 Four teachers from our school carried out the activity "Coastal Biodiversity", pursuing essential objectives: 🔹 observation and conservation of biodiversity in the coastal area; 🔹 identification and observation of protected areas; 🔹 awareness of the impact of pollution and the formation of responsible behavior for environmental protection. 🌿🐦 The students discovered valuable information about the flora and fauna of the high coastal area and had the opportunity to observe the birds that nest here, with the support of the institution's volunteers. 🌊🏖️ The experience was completed by a visit to the seaside, where they directly observed the fine sand of the beach, the lack of specific vegetation and the dynamics of the waves, better understanding the particularities of this fragile ecosystem. 💡 The importance of the activity lies in the fact that the students learned through direct experience, becoming more aware of their role in protecting the environment.
