🌊✨ The project “BlueLightS – EnLIGHTening Future Schools to Deliver BLUE Sustainability in Europe”
funded by the European Union through the Horizon Europe Program, brings valuable educational experiences to our school!
👨‍🏫 Four teachers from our school carried out the activity “Coastal Biodiversity”, pursuing essential objectives:
🔹 observation and conservation of biodiversity in the coastal area;
🔹 identification and observation of protected areas;
🔹 awareness of the impact of pollution and the formation of responsible behavior for environmental protection.
🌿🐦 The students discovered valuable information about the flora and fauna of the high coastal area and had the opportunity to observe the birds that nest here, with the support of the institution’s volunteers.
🌊🏖️ The experience was completed by a visit to the seaside, where they directly observed the fine sand of the beach, the lack of specific vegetation and the dynamics of the waves, better understanding the particularities of this fragile ecosystem.
💡 The importance of the activity lies in the fact that the students learned through direct experience, becoming more aware of their role in protecting the environment. The observations made helped them understand how easily the coastal area can be affected by pollution and human intervention, contributing to the formation of an ecological and responsible attitude.
