My name is Sofia Chanioti, and it is with great joy and excitement that I would like to share some wonderful news regarding environmental education.
Our initiative, 4env, has been named the Youth Winner at the European #MakeEUBlue Awards 2026 by the European Commission (CINEA) and the EU4Ocean Coalition, for our project “Blue Skills Lab”!
This award is a huge recognition for our hands-on ocean literacy workshops, microplastic detection activities, and circular economy practices that we implement on the field with students and educators alike.
I would be more than happy to support your schools and organizations, either as an invited speaker (for interactive talks and presentations) or for designing and implementing tailored, hands-on workshops and labs for your students.

I am an environmental educator and sustainability consultant, dedicated to transforming climate awareness into tangible, real-world impact. I am the founder of 4env, an initiative recognized by UNEP and named the Youth Winner of the European #MakeEUBlue Awards 2026 by the European Commission (CINEA) and the EU4Ocean Coalition. My work focuses on cultivating ocean and water literacy, fostering ecological consciousness, and equipping the next generation with vital green skills. Through the "Blue Skills Lab" project, I design and deliver hands-on, experiential learning programs, intensive school workshops, and community labs across the Greek islands. By training hundreds of students and thousands of educators in microplastic detection, circular design, and environmental data auditing, I empower schools and young citizens to become leading forces in environmental restoration and sustainable development.
