Ciência Viva is the Portuguese Agency for scientific culture, an association of research institutions and public bodies with a mission to promote science engagement and science education. Ciência Viva acts through a network of science centres and science clubs at school and relies on partnerships with research institutions, schools and local authorities. Ana Noronha is Executive Director of Ciência Viva, where she coordinates initiatives about education and public awareness of science at national and international level, particularly on space education and ocean literacy.
