Imagine a futuristic, ideal scenario where blue education thrives and all criteria are met to effectively teach students about water topics, teachers are well-equiped with resources, knowledge, skills and time and schools are running on constant financial and technical support!

Participants at our workshop had to imagine a similar scenario where blue education is mainstreamed and they had to brainstorm on the elements that are needed to bring the “blue” into classrooms.

Firstly, they were presented with the Blue Education Framework prepared by BlueLightS partners, a still ongoing document that investigates different maturity stages of blue educations, obstacles, successful case studies that will provide an overarching framework for blue education.

Later on, participants were divided into groups and worked on Canva Board and collected mostly images, photos to present their ideal blue education scenario.

📒meaningful engagement of students in curricula creation, and regularly revised and updated version available in several local languages,

🌿find always a link with water resources, even if there is no one nearby. “You can always find a piece of land to teach about water.”
