HELMEPA Junior Programme

Based in Greece, Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA) runs one of the most successful and long-standing environmental education programs in Europe.

Through “HELMEPA Junior,” school children and their teachers voluntarily become members of a vast network protecting the marine environment. They participate in beach cleanups, recycling campaigns, and marine biodiversity workshops across the Greek islands. It provides teachers with rich educational toolkits to bring Ocean Literacy directly into the classroom.
