European Ocean Days
Join us as the BlueLightS Project proudly participates in the EU Ocean Day, a celebration of our collective efforts to safeguard our oceans. This event brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common goal: protecting and preserving marine ecosystems for future generations.
During Session 2, participants will dive into insightful conversations on integrating ocean education into classrooms.
Explored strategies to support the network of blue schools and address the challenges they face. Hear from BlueLightS project members Melita Mokos, Irene Pateraki, and Christian Esteva Burgos as they share their expertise and experiences.
Empowering Teachers with Ocean Literacy: Rada Pándeva emphasised, “The less you know about something, the less you value it, and the easier it is to destroy.” Discussions will focus on empowering teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to inspire the next generation to value and protect our oceans. Exhibition of Blue Initiatives:
The event featured an insightful exhibition where various initiatives and projects come together, all sharing a common goal: making the ocean a better place. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about blue education and the impactful work being done to support marine conservation.
